A JAUNT THROUGH THE JUNGLE
A full day excursion arriving at Baobab Camp Makasutu about mid morning to be greeted with a brief resume of its history.

A trip through the mangroves in a dugout canoe and a long guided walk through the forest will reveal to you a plethora of wild life only imagined in today's modern world. You will also meet oyster harvesters, palm wine tappers, and wood carvers, and witness farming and fishing practices that haven't changed in centuries. A lunch of traditional African food, grown on the farm, is served at the appropriate time followed by a demonstration of drumming and dancing by the men and women of the Jola tribe with an invitation to join in.

The reasonable cost of entry includes everything except drinks at the bar.

AN EVENING TO REMEMBER
Visit base camp, Makasutu any evening for a gourmet barbeque and entertainment under the vast African sky, where you will find the stars brighter and more numerous than almost anywhere else on earth. Whilst having drinks at the bar, talk to locals and hear the history of Makasutu and how it came into being in its present form, or walk around Base Camp and see how the groundnuts are roasted and attaya is made or watch your own food being prepared
